Sycamore, Illinois is located 65 miles west of Chicago in the Kishwaukee River Valley. It is the home of the Pumpkin Festival, an annual fall festival that is held the last weekend in October. Sycamore is also the next door neighbor of Dekalb, the home of Northern Illinois University.
